Dr. Jayshree Matadial, MD

I’m a physician and was exceptionally impressed with Dr Matadial’s bedside manner and her compassion. Her front desk was efficient as they could be given the rudeness of her patients. I’m uphauled patients don’t want to pay their bill nothing is for free especially getting treated by a doctor. I myself would have called the police and have them all arrested for stealing a service from the doctor and not paying.

My husband and I have gone to Dr Matadial for at least 10 years. He had colonoscopy and I have had a colonoscopy and several endoscopy treatments. Today my husband had an appt. for 1:45 for stomach pain and back pain. At 2:30 the lady at the desk asked for our co-pay and also for another $19.65 for a supposed bill they said we owed for in 2010. 9 years ago!! They couldn't tell us what it was for. She was at Heart & Family then. We asked what this was and the answer was pay it or the DR will refuse to see you. We payed the bill and when Dr Matadial came into the office after another half hour she said we held up her appts and I said we payed a bill we didn't even have or know about. Her answer was a curt "I don't work for free". She then said "do you want to be seen or not." As my husband was in considerable pain I said yes. She then spent all of 30 seconds pushing on his stomach, said he needed a cat scan and it could be his pancreas or liver. She was rude and unprofessional. We will… find another Dr.

She is VERY SMART and CARING. I'm 59 and never had a colonoscopy. I was having issues. On her advise I did the scope.She found polyps and a mass. The biopsys came back cancer free. She even called the lab to re verify the results. Her caring personality is something that can't be taught at scool. She has a big heart.

Charged for free preventive service, took 6 months and insurance intervention to get my money back. Tried to charge me again this year. Changed colonoscopy appointment from 8 to 1230. Will not go back or refer her!

Dr. Matadial is an excellent physician. She explains everything to her patients and takes the time to answer all their questions. She cares about the physical and emotional concerns her patients have and has the ability to put body and mind as ease. She is highly praised by other gastroenterologists as being the best and most knowledgeable doctor in that field. That says it all.

I had to wait 2 months for an appointment. I knew my medical diagnosis after having several tests done by my prior Gastroenterologist in NY. Dr Matadial didn't listen to my current concerns about my stomach issues and was sending me for blood tests and an MRI for a non stomach issue. She spent all of 5 minutes with me. She has no bed side manners and is very curt. I will locate another Gastroenterologist. I would not recommend her.

Did not have a warm welcome nor introduction being that is was my first visit. Did not seemed concerned about my concerns or issues. She wanted to schedule a scope but I did not feel comfortable with her doing the procedure due to my first impressions of her. Additionally, while going over the "risk" she was very blunt and could have been more empathetic. Will never go back!

Very rude.

Dr. Matadial is great.
