I was born in the Inland Empire, but grew up near the Dallas/Fort Worth area, in a small town in Texas. I attended school in Keene, Texas from first grade straight through college. I then got my medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine. My internal medicine training was also at Loma Linda University Medical Center and my infectious diseases fellowship at UC Irvine. I am a member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America.
