Loved Dr. Bismuth and his staff. Dr. Bismuth kept us informed and treated our family member with kindness, professionalism and compassion. He worked late into the evening. Would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a cardiovascular surgeon. Very Good experience with Methodist West in Katy also.

He gave me my life back , sent home to die by Dr. Ott , Dr Bismuth preformed the surgery. It’s been 4 years still going.

Love this doctor! I had a blockage in my descending Aorta that interfered with my ability to walk. 2 stents later and I can walk for miles. He is very nice, easy to talk to and very honest!

He never showed up after a suppose procedure . Disappointed in the lack of communication.

Dr. Jean Bismuth acts as if he has an air of arrogance about him. My family and I do not appreciate that. He does not spend enough time with his patients from what we experienced. He lacks a nice bedside manner too.From our background check on him, he did not attend medical school in the United States. He went to medical school in Denmark.

I saw Dr Bismuth in his outpatient clinic and he was very attentive to my story and told me what he thought was wrong with me. After an angiogram we confirmed that his diagnosis was correct.He managed my leg ischemia and i have been under his care since.He is kind and i trust his clinical judgement.

In my opinion, I found Dr. Jean Bismuth to be very arrogant, he lacks a bedside manner with patients. He may sometimes try to act calm and cool, but he is not really sincere.I did a bit of research on this Doc. His family comes from Tunisia. He was educated at Vassar College in New York and then he went to the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in Manhattan, NY. He became a Podiatrist and trained as a Podiatrist. From my research and many phone calls, he ended up going to Medical School in Denmark to get his Medical Degree and then did a residency at a Hospital in Brooklyn and he did not even attend his graduation!His surgical skills are okay, but I do not feel he is a good Doctor. I recommend people going to see another Vascular Doc if they can.
