Jean Claude Uwamungu, MD

Dr. Jean Claude Uwamungu specializes in cardiovascular disease, bringing 16 years of experience to his practice. He earned his medical degree from Universite Nationale De Rwanda and completed his residency at Montefiore Medical Center in 2018. Dr. Uwamungu pursued advanced fellowship training at Harvard University in 2015 and returned to Montefiore Medical Center for an additional fellowship in 2021. He is fluent in both English and French.

Dr. Uwamungu practices at multiple locations throughout Cleveland, Ohio, including the UH Cleveland Medical Center Mather Pavilion and UH Otis Moss Jr. Health Center, with additional services at UH Euclid Health Center in Euclid. His expertise encompasses treating high blood pressure emergencies and managing various forms of hypertension. He also specializes in addressing abnormal heart rhythms and coronary artery disease, providing comprehensive cardiac care for his patients.
