Dr. Jean Ellen Kunin, MD

I have been treated by Dr. Kunin for years and like her very much.

Dr. Kunin gives me more anxiety and stress than actually helping with any issues. She has a very unprofessional way about her billing services. She did not notify me of any of my bills and directly took money from my account without prior notice. I would not trust her appointment system as dates are often miscommunicated. She comes off extremely rude and unprofessional in person and should not be communicating prescriptions through text message. Do NOT recommend unless you want to feel like you have way more anxiety after you leave.

As a new patient trying to schedule and appointment Dr. Kunin she had to reschedule 4 times, all of which were last minute. When I did arrive for our scheduled appointment I was kept waiting for over 45 minutes only to find out that she had forgotten to write the appointment in her spiral notebook. She suggested, and I completely agreed, that I should seek help elsewhere, proving to me that she had no desire to rectify her behavior. Extremely disappointing.

Doesn't always pay attention. Doesn't offer feedback. Very frustrating.

Dr. Kunin never spent more than 15 mins with me per visit, did not expression compassion or empathy at all, and prescribed me multiple medications that severely worsened my condition and landed me in the ER for suicidality and ruined my relationship with my partner. I called her with an emergency and didn't hear back for several hours. She broke confidentiality and shared my information without consent, and now her billing manager is refusing to file the claim for my services with my insurance company, which is in Dr. Kunin's network. I have repeatedly been told to do things myself that are the office's job, such as file claims with insurance companies in their network and to call my insurance on their behalf. I would highly recommend AGAINST putting your health and safety in the hands of this apathetic doctor. The medication she prescribed me was more like poison and I wasn't even formally evaluated.

I really like Dr. Kunin. However, 90% of the time I am taken for my appointment 5 minutes late.

Dr. Kunin, I saw you for about a year in 2005 and you helped me over a very rough spot in my life and I wanted to say thank you. I refer you every time I hear someone wishing to speak with a therapist.
