Dr. Jean Tomi Miyashita

Best doctor I've ever had! Wish I lived closer so I could still see her.

Dr. Miyashita takes care of my whole family. She treats us as if we were old friends, not just patients.My father was seriously ill but my dad did not want to go to the ER. Dr. Miyashita put my dad on an office chair. She pushed my dad out the door. We drove him to the ER. Dr. Miyashita stayed at my dad' side for over 1 hour.How many MDs work this hard for their patients?

Excellent, compassionate physician. I will never forget the night that she met me at the hospital.I was feeling sick and had a lot of pain. I did not want to bother her. She insisted that I be evaluated. I needed emergency surgery. She waited at my bedside until the surgeon showed up. I feel lucky to have such a great doctor.

LIke the previouse comment, I too loved her the first few cisits. I even recommended my mom and two friends who felt the same. The thing started to change. She would look at her watch and say "go you have 10 minutes" then she would tell me all of her problems. When my dad died unexpectedly and soon after I had the flu, she saw me and rightfully put me on Family leave of absence for depression. When I needed a follow-up visit required for work and told her I was really to return to work she yelled at me and told me to see a shrink next time; that she was only there if I had an internal problem. She really yelled at me! She is scattered and gave me twice the mg of a medicine that I was on by accident. Likewise, when my moms blood tests came out abnormal, she refused to come to the phone and talk to her and wouldnt make an appointment for my mom. Recently two different local doctors toldme she "has lost it"

she takes her time with you and really listens, my other specialty physicians all call her a sweetheart, she does more than she has too because she really seems to care.

Dr. Miyashita is truly cares for her patients.

When we first met this Dr. whom we visited for my 80 yr old grandmother, we loved her. She spent an hour with us and we thought that she really wanted to know her history. Subsequent visits were also long, however, they became very uncomfortable. Miyashita would complain about her own ailments and time restrictions and make us feel like we owed her something for seeing us. At one visit, she suggested we pay $300 to have access to the medical consierge to answer our questions (my grandmother has a lot of ailments). I asked if she did not want to care for my grandmother anymore and she back-pedaled. She talks down to us and has made my grandmother very nervous. Her notes were wrong in the file on two occasions causing her to waste a lot of time. When I complained to her staff, they alluded to the fact that they were also not happy with this Dr. That she was demanding, unreasonable and scatterbrained. She's all over the place. Would not recommend at all.
