Dr. Jean Marie Murphy, MD

Dr. Murphy was the hospitalist who saw my very ill father last year. He had been battling with illness for several months and had been to the emergency room on a number of visits. Dr. Murphy apparently decided before ever seeing him that he was just an old man looking for attention. She actually asked him if he was "just being a baby." It was obvious by looking at him that he was very ill. His pallor was gray, he had lost 8 pounds in just a week and approximately 30 pounds in the prior two months because he couldn't eat. She was rude, insulting and her "care" was very upsetting to a family that was already very distraught. My father had a heart attack three weeks after that visit. Luckily, he's doing fine now. If I ever have to take one of my parents to this hospital again and she walks in, I will absolutely request a different physician.
