Dr. Jean Paul Bourget, DC

I was referred to Dr. Bourget (Dr. B) by a family member who was happy with his services and began to see him about 1.5 years after a car accident and I was done with traditional doctors (had an operation and was on some meds). At the time 2 other members of my family were seeing him, my goal was to seek relief and learn to deal with chronic pain. From the start I felt he was a bit odd, but his heart *seemed* to be in the right place, I signed the necessary paperwork and had a verbal understanding that once settled he would be open to adjust his bill by either reducing the amount owed, or give some free adjustments (I do not want any free services). Dr. B loves to talk and would talk during the entire session (a bit annoying), he also would go a bit to far and discuss other patients with me, tell me about other family members care and a woman that accused him of being inappropriate with her daughter (she also wrote a review here on Yelp). As he told me how he treated this 15 year… old girl, he demonstrated as well by touching my pelvic area as I laid on the table (CREEPY!!!). I stopped seeing him shortly after this, I also recently found out that a female friend of mine stopped seeing Dr. B because she felt he got way to personal and intimate (physically) with adjusting her. He would go on about working rock concerts after work, his wife in Canada, and would sometimes stop care to go out and talk with other clients in the middle of our sessions?!?! His receptionist/assistant is awesome always friendly and helpful, but Dr. B is a completely different story. He would brag how frugal he was reusing 10 unit pads till they barely stuck and caused me to scream in pain as they came unattached and shocked me (this happened twice). He also expressed that he had serious doubts about my case, but it spite of his words it settled. My lawyer contacted all people involved to seek reduction of their bills, EVERYONE did so, except Dr. Bourget. Dr. B called me and told me my lawyer was acting illegal, my lawyer called me and said Dr. B was very short with him, I explained I would deal with it personally (as I was going by what was verbally promised). When I spoke to Dr. B he spoke in circles, he then offered to give me some free care (which I didn't want), but he did his best to try to confuse me and go back on his words. I even called back and said I was confused, he talked in circles and said he had a client waiting (I have phone records). Dr. B made it so my lawyer would not contact him, I have called him (with no success), e-mailed him (no response) and mailed him (again no response), I have given it over a month to allow ample time to respond. It truly saddens me that he misled me and will not respond, I have no choice but to pay (which I will), but make no mistake about as an unhappy client I will make it known about him, his services and his tactics far and wide. I am considering reporting him for some of his unorthodox methods and unethical practices. As someone that has owned/ ran various businesses, I always want to find a way to be in the solution, this way I maintain my customer base and make try to maintain positive references. In this case there was a possible resolution, but Dr. B decided to run from the issues rather than address them. There are many great chiropractors, please don't do as I did and thoroughly do a background check. Dr Bourget deserves 0 stars!!!
