Dr. Jean-Pierre Letellier, MD

Dr. Letellier's office has never turned me away, even when I've come in as a walk-in. There is a sign on the door that clearly reads no walk-in's after 10:30am or 4:00pm which makes perfect sense. Who wants to be held up for lunch or after work because of a straggler? Seriously if it were you and you'd been seeing patients all day, you would need to eat or go home after work too. People forget that doctors have lives too. They have families and other responsibilities than their patients. I have always been grateful for the way Dr. Letellier presents himself. He always comes in and asks how we're doing and shakes our hand when he leaves the room. He sits and listens and doesn't get upset when you discuss what other doctor's have told you or if there is something you would like to try, like physical therapy or a change in medicine for whatever reason. He is well informed on disorders and diseases and explains things in great detail. He is not ashamed to refer you out to a… specialist if he believes it is warranted. I have seen him work with someone without insurance offering options to try before getting into the really expensive testing to rule out anything bad. In that case, it worked out great because it was nothing serious. If he had said the same to me - and I have insurance - I would have taken his advice to wait the weekend and see how I felt as well. Anyway to save money is a good thing. As for the other reviewer who was complaining about the receptionist, I disagree. JoAnn has never been anything other than courteous and helpful. I don't think anyone realizes how much responsibility she has. She doesn't just sit there and talk on the phone setting appointments, signing you in and taking your money. She has other things that are included in her job title and when she gets so many phone calls and even complaints - she handles it well. She is a great multi-tasker.

During my visit the receptionist was very short and had a horrible attitude. While paying it witnessed her yelling at an older woman and giving her an attitude of you should be happy you got in. The dr did nothing but ask the woman to leave and take the rude receptionist side. A few days later I came in as a walk in the lady told me to be there before 11. I have 3 small children and hurried as fast as I could when I said Im here for a walk in she said we don't take patients this late. I said didn't I talk to you this morning and you said before 11? She looked at the clock and said its 6 till 11. I apologized and said I tried to get my kids dressed as fast as I could. And she rolled her eyes at me had a horrible attitude and just started at me. She realized she was being ugly and said I guess we can see you and I pushed the paper away and said I'd go somewhere else and god bless you. I don't understand why this woman's rude ways have not been addressed. She doesn't great you at all… when coming in, she looks as if she hates her job and it seems as if the dr doesn't care who his patients first encounter is with. This is who we talk to on the phone who we see when enter and who we pay to leave. Every encounter with her is horrible. She should be happy and grateful to have a job and get an attitude adjustment. I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN!!
