I had to wait 4 hours to see this doctor even though I had an appointment. There were two other people in the lobby, one had been waiting 4 hours as well and the other had waited 2 hrs the day before, been turned away & told to come back, and then made to wait 2 more hours the next day. This is not only incredibly disrespectful of peoples' time but also irresponsible, we're in a pandemic and people shouldn't be spending 4 hours indoors with strangers for no reason. When I finally did see the doctor, he blamed the wait on his patients "abusing their time with him", instead of taking responsibility for his own time management skills. He spoke and typed incredibly slowly -- I spent 40 minutes with him and all he accomplished was repeating the questions the nurse had already asked me hours prior. He also was not wearing his ID, and even pointed that out himself. This was just a routine physical, but because I had to wait so long the lab was closed by the time he saw me and he said I'd… have to come back the next day to get blood work and routine tests done. He never apologized. Worst of all, I asked for a contraceptive prescription refill (I'm an adult and have been taking this medication for years), and he refused, citing "religious reasons". This is illegal, he works in a state hospital. I now have to make not one but two follow up appointments -- 1 to complete the only parts of the physical that are actually useful to me, and 2 to get a prescription for the one thing I needed. No one -- not anyone who scheduled the appointment, called me to confirm, checked me in, took my intake information and basic vitals as I sat waiting for four hours -- thought to mention that this doctor refused to provide women's health care. I should have been warned, but more importantly this doctor shouldn't be treating women. The only way to complain about this is experience is to contact Patient & Guest Relations, but the correct number isn't listed online. Once I got it, I tried calling every day during business hours for a week, and was sent to voicemail every time.
