Dr. Jean D Ross, MD

Met with Dr. Ross for the 1st time. I had already had been diagnosed and provided all of my prior records mind (you ive been in treatment for years) she had no idea nor bothered to look at my history once she asked and i told her.. right away she discredited my prior drs and psychs disregarded my diagnosis and wanted 2 discontinue all my meds and solve my health with lithium. Terrible Dr.

Terrible doctor.

I have seen Dr. Ross for over 15 years. She is competent, compassionate, aggressive yet conservative with her plan of care. Her office is private and her approach is professional. In a word, she helped me get my life back. But if you don't want to do the work you might want to find someone else.

Dr Ross Spend aLot of time with my son to understand why he had failing grades. She met with the entire family.My son is doing much better with A's in schoolThe doctor gives my son medication and sees him for weekly therapy. Sometimes my husband and I come with my son for sessions.

I made an appointment with Dr. Ross and was impressed with her immediate response in making my first appointment. When I met with her, I believe she gave me an accurate diagnosis, however, she gave me samples of Abilify to start on even though she was noticeably apprehensive on starting me on the medication, given the cost. I work for the govenment and have great insurance but it still was not covered. She prescribed it anyway and gave me a "coupon". The coupon brought the cost to just over half off which came to $425 for a one month supply. I thought the pharmacist was joking. I called Dr. Ross immediately and my call was not returned for 5 days. By then, the med was out of my system and I could not keep taking it anyway, given the cost. I was stunned she would start me on samples and then prescribe me a $1000 a month med in the first place AND not return my call. I cancelled my existing appointment and have never gone back. In my opinion, it seemed as though she was all about… money and it left me to wonder if she gets a certain "kickback" for prescribing Abilify.

Dr. Ross met myself and my husband for the first time. I went with my husband to the appointment, she completely ignored me. Asked him a few questions, and diagnosed him as Bipolar, gave him Abilify within 10 minutes. We told her that a Psychologist thinks he has ADHD, she said that the pschologist was wrong. Ignored the advice, he started on Abilify, and was COMPLETELY wrong with the diagnosis, Abilify did NOTHING for him but make him depressed. Turns out we went to another doctor, where they treated him for ADHD, with excellent results. This doctor actually did an evaluation and a few tests. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR. She is RUDE, ARROGANT, and not very intelligent!!! Prescribing patients with medication without analyzing them is not a joke!

If you want to be in therapy forever, and give up your life savings, this is the Dr for you! I could type a novel but suffice it to say- go elsewhere,the only thing she cares about is her wallet.

Dr. Ross is very knowledgeable and obviously cares. I highly recommend her as a therapist.
