Dr Jean Woods is a who is committed to providing high quality care to you and your entire family while building a practice which allows us to provide care in a comfortable and pleasant setting. Our goal is to treat each patient with dignity; respect, kindness, and courtesy while letting you know you’re a valued part of our practice.  Her emphasis on patient comfort and understanding as well as keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements in dentistry enable him to provide her patients with the best quality of care in the field. Dr. Woods has a wide range of experience in different areas of dentistry, from cosmetic and restorative dentistry to surgical treatments and comprehensive rehabilitation.  Dr Jean Woods is a native of Durham, NC and a graduate of The University of NC. Her office services both Durham, NC and Chapel Hill, NC. Dr. Woods maintains memberships with The NC Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association (ADA).  Additionally, …she serves as Deputy Examiner for NC State Board of Dental Examiners.  She enjoys horseback riding, skiing, and traveling. FILLINGS Composite (tooth colored) fillings are made from a resin or plastic material that contains small filler particles of glass-like material for strength and wear resistance.  They contain the finest and most up-to-date materials available today. Being tooth colored which allows them to blend more naturally with color of your teeth. Composite fillings are chemically bonded to the remaining tooth structure which adds additional strength to the tooth. These types of restorations are generally more conservative as they do not require removal of excessive tooth structure.
