Dr. Jeanine Ngoc-Anh Chu, MD

Dr. Chu has been my physician for more than 16 years. She has always been very thorough, never failed to diagnose problems when they surfaced (minor or major), is up to date on the latest guidelines for wellness checks, and is very conservative in prescribing medication. I also like the fact that I can request my yearly tests and mammogram before I come for my annual visit, so by the time I meet with her we can discuss my test results and recommendations. Doctor's offices are often busy, there are delays, but those are inconveniences that don't reflect on Dr. Chu's ability as a physician; that's what counts.

Dr. Chu doesn't take chances with your health. She knows medicine, and she knows what to do.

Dr. Chu has been my doctor for over 18 years. She is very detailed and has properly diagnosed any ailments I’ve ever had. As another reviewer mentioned, she does not over prescribe medication. A few years ago I moved to another city and I still make a yearly 2hr trip to see Dr. Chu.

Wonderful physician. Dr. Chu is both knowledgeable and compassionate. She takes the time to get to know the patient, understand his or her concerns, and provide the right treatment. She is careful to avoid over-prescribing strong medicine, often preferring to try diet or behavior modification first. I feel very confident in her care. Of course, she is also a lovely and pleasant person to talk to.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Chu this past week (January, 2015.) Dr. Chu was kind and compassionate as well as reassuring. She was not at all patronizing and was happy to discuss the science/medicine behind what's been going on with my health. She seems to really know her stuff. I feel confident that I've found a good primary care physician in Dr. Chu.

I have been Dr. Chu's patient for over 10 years. In addition to being one of the smartest people I have ever met, she is one of the best doctors--one who saved my life--literally. I had stenosis in the neck that was pinching off my spinal cord. She initially found it in a physical exam and after seeing 4 doctors who agreed that surgery was very necessary, i continued to be in denial. She went to the length of calling me at home to express her concerns and to impress upon me the urgency of the situation. When I finally saw surgeon who ended up operating on me, he was very blunt by saying that any slight bump on the head or neck at this point would be catastrophic. Thus, because she saved my life and because she has continued to provide the best medical care possible, I feel she is the finest doctor person could have.

I saw Dr Chu yesterday for the first time in one word --WONDERFUL-- She is a Keeper---

Dr. Chu has been my Primary physician for over 11 years. She is extremely thorough in her examinations, and most dedicated to deliver an optimum prognosis. She is one of the few physicians who genuinely has the patients' best interest at heart, and will speak to you candidly on your issues and suggestions to improve your health. Dr. Chu is quite an exemplary physician.

Dr. Chu is an amazing Doctor and person. Her genuine care for her patients is commendable.

My husband and I both have Dr. Chu as PCP. She is the most caring MD, we have ever seen. My husband had a routine physical exam. At time of the examination, she found a lump on his neck. She sent him for Biopsy right away. The result showed cancerous. He was treated at the early stage and cancer free now. We owed it to her. I don't care much for her staff. They are not friendly at all. It's also hard to get appointment with her, and wait time to be seen is long. It's worthies.
