Dr. Werner was born in New York City and raised in Maryland. She is a graduate of Tufts University and received her medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at the NYU Medical Center in New York and completed Oncology and Hematology Fellowships at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Dr. Werner returned to Maryland and joined AAMC group practice in 1998 then joined Maryland Oncology Hematology in October 2020. Dr. Werner is board certified in Medical Oncology and Hematology.

Dr. Jeanine Werner very busy, does not have time to explain or answer questions. Dr. Jeanine Werner is nice. You only have 15 mins. Looks at the chart on computer and make recommendation and out the door.

Dr Werner is a no nonsense practitioner with effective communication skills. She listens to her patients and adjusts their treatment accordingly. When one form of chemo was not working for me she had plan B ready. Her support staff are professional, helpful and make your appointments a breeze.

Impossible to communicate with other than an appointment. Stays to a strict 15 minute appointment. Will not ask how you are doing and shows no empathy. Was not familiar with my cancer and diagnostic tests. Without my insistance I would have died before she would have reacted.
