Dr. Jeanna H. Walsh, MD

My first appointment with Walsh was at 3:00. i arrived at 2:50 and was told she was 20 minutes behind. at 3:30, i left, feeling tired and weak and wanted to lie down. i live in derry, just 10 minutes away and asked them to call me if she became available and i'd come back. they called about 3:45 and said, "well, she can see you at 4:00 but only for 1/2 hour." ok. i went back. about 5 minutes into our appointment, dr walsh's iphone was beeping incessantly. she was not focused on me at all and finally said, "i've got to go put out a fire." uh, ok.... when she returned, i tried to resume our conversation about my cancer. i'd been told the day before by the radiologist i had slight lymphedema in my left arm from my recent mastectomy. (the radiologist had performed a careful examination of my chest and upper arms.) i mentioned this to walsh, who looked at me from across the room while I was fully clothed and had not been examined by her. walsh said, "you don't look like… you have lymphedema to me." wow, a doctor who makes a diagnosis from across the room without even examining the patient? that's bogus of her to think she can make a diagnosis like that. i also told walsh that i'd like my left lateral lymph nodes examined by MRI, CT, x-Ray, etc., because of all the problems i've had with my left arm, left shoulder and left breast. Her response? "We don't do that." Me: "Could you do it for my peace of mind?" "No, we normally don't do that." So i gathered my papers, got up and walked out, thanking her for her time. I'll never go back. Again, AVOID DFCI in Londonderry and avoid Dr Walsh! they (and she) have the same pompous attitude as the incompetents at DFCI in Boston.
