Dr. Jeanne Marie Charnas

Dr Charnas was assigned to see my wife in the Altamonte Springs ER recently. We believed the wife was having a reaction to a recent blood thinner prescribed by the hematologist. The wife was swollen on all of her limbs, face and in fear for her life, so we checked in to the ER! Dr Charnas was assigned to handle my wife's care that evening and without any real physical evaluation of her body to evaluate the chief complaint, she simply accused my wife of only visiting the ER for pain medicine and shortly thereafter discharged her about 10pm. I can tell you we were VERY angry and immediately sought a second opinion bright and early the next morning. At 8 AM we were in the hematologists office who confirmed that she was having an allergic reaction to the blood thinner and immediately changed the treatment! She could have died! The doctor was rude (and in my opinion, totally incompetent)! Considering malpractice based on this visit! Will never let this doctor oversee my wife's care in any… capacity again!

She misdiagnosed my husband after waiting to see her for 3 hours and then after another 2 or 3 hours said "I don't know what is wrong with you." We went to another emergency room and they diagnosed him within 1/2 hour. She is without a doubt the most careless and negligent doctor I have ever encountered. Do not go see her.
