Dr. Jeannie A Torony, MD

I just started seeing Dr. Torony and the time she spent with me was amazing. She tried to go over every aspect of my life as a new patient and help me in anyway possible. Even gave me advice and someone to call about going back to school. She truly cared about me and my well being. I’ve NEVER had a doctor do that.

I have been a patient, as well as my two sons, of Dr. Torony for 15+ years. She takes her time with you and answers questions. She always seems to know exactly what is going on and how to resolve it. She is a very caring doctor and I have never had anything but wonderful praise for her. I recommend her to all my friends who are looking for a good doctor. I've dealt with other doctors previously; Dr. Torony is the best.

Let me just tell you my story. I have had frequent headaches for the past year, I never got it checked out because I didn't have health insurance. When I finally got my insurance i went to my schools health center to get the doctors opinion. SHE IS SUCH A JOKE. First, my height and weight didn't even matter. Second, my current medications didn't matter. Third, I had to go out of my way to tell her I had a Chiari Malformation, it didnt even phase her. She looked in my ears and at my throat (mind you I have a natural post nasal drip) she said it was a Sinus Infection, prescribed me antibiotics and I went on my way. After that I went back to her and said i still had the headaches, she said my Sinus infection was severe so I needed a second antibiotic, i took that and still nothing. Went back AGAIN she wanted to put me on THE SAME ANTIBIOTIC I WAS ON FIRST, prescribed me a third antibiotic & it gave me bad side effects. Went back yet again and she tried prescribing me the same first… antibiotic. MY FILE WAS IN HER HANDS! I now decided to go to my family doctor, its my Chiari Malformation that has been acting up, Might possibly need surgery. She is a poor excuse for a doctor and I CANT WAIT until my mother calls her and rips her a new one for being so inconsiderate! She has a very "I'm the doctor, I know everything" kind of attitude.

For those of you who I noticed had been asking, I sought a second AND third opinion from a podiatrist and an orthopedic surgeon both of whom said my foot problem was a persistent case of tendonitis NOT shin splints, reinforcing my opinion on this doctor that she is not very well educated or a very good physician. I had a classmate go to her who had been vomiting for days and this doctor told my classmate she wasn't supposed to eat solid food for three days! My opinion of this doctor is still very low...

Since I didn't see a follow up stating it wasn't shin splintsi did see dr.Torony. her kindness and thoroughness during my appointment was enough to get to my problem and fix it.. I wouldn't doubt or post without getting the second opinion first. I was happy enough to consider my whole family be seen by her.

Dr Torony is the physician at my college's health center and I once had to see her for a foot injury and I was disgusted by the way she treated me. She walked in, didn't ask my name or introduce herself, simply walked in and said "what did you do". Then she examined my foot for about 30 seconds and determined I have shin splints even though I have no pain in my SHINS. I tried to tell her this and she insisted she was right then left the room after about 10 minutes with me. 3 months later and I still have the same pain in my foot that I am now planning to see a podiatrist for. I was considering reporting her to the director of admissions at my college because I was so outraged by her bedside manners. To all King's College students: ALWAYS see a PA at the health center and to all other patients at her practice, AVOID HER!!
