My daughter left nearly in tears after barely educating her on a procedure and wanting to have it day of. She was offered patronizing support and a “Facebook support group” when my daughter was apprehensive to proceed. I work in medicine but was at work so she simply wanted to check with me first and this doctor was impatient and consequently aggressively rude at her discomfort.

Cannot say enough about the professionalism of Dr. Miranne. She was an educator to the nth degree. It was my first visit and I was ushered into her office and sat face to face with her, a rare occurrence in healthcare today. She reviewed my symptoms, asked questions, listened attentively. When we were in the procedure room she explained everything she was going to do and did. I recommend her highly!

I could be an advertisement for this excellent surgeon. I was out of the hospital in 24 hours. I took ibuprofen for a few days and didn’t need anything more. Dr. Marianne covered all the bases. She told me about the cons - none of which happened. Her staff is easy to reach. And I have all their numbers. I recommend this surgeon highly.

I have been trying to reschedule an appt but never can get a live person to answer the phone. It's constant phone tag. She either needs more staff or the staff needs to answer the phone. It doesn't matter on what time of day it is either. The phone always goes to their voice message.

I would like to start by saying that my first visit with Dr. Miranne went very well. She was professional and took the time to go over all of my symptoms and concerns. I've suffered with recurring UTI infections for almost 20 years. This last year I had one every 3 months. I usually get 2 a year. My primary care doctor had a suspicion I might have Interstitial Cystitis. Hence, the visit with Dr. Miranne. Dr. Miranne explained to me what IC was and she decided from all of my symptoms that I do not have this very chronic and incurable disease. She decided since I had "no bacteria" in my urine she would not prescribe antibiotics. I kept having symptoms for an entire week which I then requested another office visit to meet with her. The secretary made the appointment for me and I thought I might get some answers with further testing. Unfortunately, on my second visit, I felt as if I was seeing an entirely different doctor. Dr. Miranne was visibly upset as I walked in her office. She… declared that "she normally doesn't take urgent visits and she's busy and I was lucky to get in with her". Wow, I felt like an intruder instead of a patient. She was extremely rude to me. I almost walked out, but was desperate to see if I could get any help. I explained that I did research and was hoping she could do another kind of testing because with Chronic UTI the US standard of testing is out of date and is not an accurate way to detect a UTI that has embedded itself in the bladder wall. Sadly, Dr. Miranne diagnosed me that moment with Interstitial Cystitis. This is without any new testing. From one week to the next, I was diagnosed with a chronic disease and she wanted me to go on medication for life. I felt defeated and upset, but I definitely wanted a second opinion. The second Urologist I saw performed a Cystoscopy and bladder and kidney ultrasound which showed no signs of Interstitial Cystitis. None, zilch, Zero! Thousands of dollars later and no answers. I urge you to do your own research. Be your own advocate. Go to message boards, and dig for your own answers. If you suffer like I do from Chronic UTI's you are not alone. I am seeing and Infectious Disease Doctor in a few weeks to tell me what kind of bacteria is invading my bladder so I can treat it properly.
