Dr. Jedediah Hunter May

I have been dealing with a knee issue. I have been to another doctor, but didn’t get answers as to why I was having this issue. Dr. Jed May was able to give me answers and alternatives. I like that he give you alternatives and you choose your course. He listened to all my concerns and explained specifics in an understandable way. I didn’t feel rushed, he took as much time as I needed to understand and get my questions answered. I was impressed.

I feel the exact same as the other person who gave him a 1 star. he did not care about my pain and also caused more pain to me while there at the five rivers knee clinic located inside of miami valley hospital.. I not only had been treated poorly I had two other doctors in the room while he was doing his eval on my knee which i was sent there after almost 7 months of having a knee injury diagnosed with a torn meniscus and PVS. in need of surgery this doctor makes me cry twice due to the pain he inflicted upon me during his evaluation. after I came back from my xrays he came back in to "show me the stretches he wanted me to do every 2 hours" and promised he wouldn't hurt me again, "it would just be a subtle stretch" I trusted that and he proceeded to make me cry again and i yelled to please stop and he did not. After I had stopped crying he told me how he thought I needed to go through physical therapy again and that I should be fine with just motrin and I had been taking norcos from… the other doctor that sent me to them in the first place and when I asked for a refill he said he would not do that because he thought motrin was good enough and that if the other doctor wanted to give it to me then fine but after I left I called and talked to the nurse and she had said that the doctor wouldn't be able to do it anymore because of dr. mays notes which stated he nor anyone else within the practice would prescribe me norcos. I am planning on going somewhere else and also making a complaint to whomever I need to and pressing charges due to the lack of care. You as a patient should be able to trust your doctor and trust that they are there to help and get you better not criticize what other health care providers have or have not done or hurt you more than you are already hurting etc. I hope this will help others make a decision to find a different doctor and not go through the things I went through or like the other person that rated him poorly.
