Outstanding communicator, friendly, compassionate, and, in my case, a kindred spirit because of our love of horses. I have to say this because I've had horses for over 63 years and it's rare to find someone who understands that connectivity. It also reflects on Dr. Marrs' ability to identify with his patients.

The best patient visit I have ever had. As a physician myself, I am a little more analytical but this gentleman is uniquely excellent as a physician in knowledge, patience, thoroughness and compassion. DO NOT LET ANY OTHER DOCTOR TOUCH YOUR KNEE! He is the Joe Montana of orthopedic surgeons.

Dr. Marrs is my trusted surgeon who has successfully performed 3 joint replacement surgeries and is scheduled to perform a 4th. Osteoarthritis runs on my mother's side and I am so thankful to have a skilled surgeon to help with these major surgeries. He is the best of the best, and my surgeries have all gone very well. I experienced a comforting first appt with Dr Marrs. After my exam I realized it was surgery that I would ultimately need but I didn’t have to do it immediately. I’ve been able to share painful knee experience with my friend Linda Heath, who is a very satisfied patient of Dr Marrs. This process on double knee replacment is wonderful

I had bilateral TKR in March. I completely recommend Dr. Marrs for all of your knee injuries. He listened to me and seriously looked intensively into my knee problems. He walked me through what bilateral TKR looked like and what it was going to take for me to prepare for it and what healing looked like afterwards. I live in TX at the moment and never thought twice about not coming back to SD and having him perform my surgery. I am 4.5 mths out and am healing so well that I am going back to my 2-3 times a week yoga practice. I listened to him about how important physical therapy is as well. I started with 3 times a week, am currently at 2 times a week, and am moving to once a week since I am transitioning back to yoga. If you follow his pre-surgery and post operative instructions you will heal and your knees will feel so good and strong. The scars look pretty amazing also. Most people can't believe I'm only 4 mths out when the scars look to be a year or more already. YOU have to… be ready to put in the work, it's not easy, and it can be painful, but the payoff is worth it!
