Dr Akeson is a fabulous surgeon. He has completed one knee replacement for me and scheduled the second. He is kind, gentle and listens well to what is important to the patient. I have had excellent outcomes. I’m blessed to have him lead my surgical team. Being able to walk without pain is truly an amazing feeling.

Dr. Akeson replaced both my knees. The first was designed specifically for my knee, and the second was a partial. Not all doctors do these. I have been very happy with both. Recently, I have had knee pain. Both knees were checked with X-ray and the prosthetic looks good. I will have and MRI to see if I have torn cartilage. I appreciate that Dr. Akeson didn’t just look at the prosthetic and then dismiss my pain because it looked good.

Dr. Akeson is an incredible surgeon! Fixed my shattered elbow and wrist in 1999. I remember him to this day.

Pretty much on time. Explains everything well. Got rid of that horrible PA Mark Loefler (not sure if I’m spelling correctly). Last knee went horribly wrong because of him, and only because of him. This knee will go much better, I’m sure of it. If only because he is not involved. But Dr Akeson truly cares about his patients and what is going on with them. Takes the preventative approach. I like this.

couldn't be more pleased with the outcome of my knee surgery, and choice of surgeon. Dr Jeffrey Akeson's expertise in the orthopedics, and professionalism are second to none in downstate Illinois. He has an amazing staff at the OSF hospital and in the Midwest orthopedics office. I'm 3 weeks post-surgery setting and breaking goals weekly while preparing to return to work. Once again thank you Dr Akeson
