His surgical techniques= severely out of date His honesty towards his patients= 100% DISHONESTY His quality of "care"= absolutely cruel His pain management= he will push whatever new big name non generic drug that big pharma is pushing OR just flat out give you neurotoxic meds such as gabapentin It's rather funny that all the patients he lied to and did not do surgery on in order to "avoid the liability" are all in a better place as they sought better neurosurgeons AND are still going to sue him FOR his neglect He won't be on the board or able to practice much longer thank god

He's seriously k|||ing people in his community with his old techniques that he calls "state of the art brand new" he doesn't even do stem cells so that's laughable. If he's not lying to you , he's making money of the parts he's puttiing in you. 10-12 years ago I would've said he's the best around ... in past 6-7 years he's declined rapidly. Still doing surgeries from the 80s and early 90s. Even when the Illinois Neurological Board says those are too outdated and don't have the best outcome. My heart bleeds for anyone and everyone who has that gleam of hope in their eyes thinking they're about to get rid of their neck pain or back problem and then they tell me they're going to Jeff Jones I know they're going to be gone in 4-5 years they're going to k||| themselves from the migraine and nerve pain because he won't control your pain either .

Best Doc ever. Followed after care instructions have had no problems since . Would and have highly recommended.

Jones seems to be a good Dr. but if he makes a mistake he doesn't seem to want to correct it. I"m nine months out, he knows what my problem is , but still won"t correct his mistake.

This doctor never saw me, never did a physical exam on me nor spoke with me. But I received a phone call telling me to go to the ER to be admitted for emergency surgery for a herniated disc. I am a physician and I know that although I am in significant pain, my case was not a surgical emergency. To tell a person whom you've never met that they need to drop everything and go to the ER when it's not necessary is unethical. Admitting me through the ER allows him to avoid dealing with insurance and one can bill more because it was "an emergency". This borders on insurance fraud. Please do yourself a favor and do not choose him as your surgeon.

I saw Dr. Jones for the first time in the Fall of 2012. I had a massive disc herniation that required immediate surgery. Dr. Jones performed a single level spinal fusion. His skill level was very impressive. While most doctors use a single spacer, he used two in a single space allowing for better stability and allowing a better fusion. I feel that Dr. Jones has taken excellent care of me and has always addressed any questions or concerns that I have had. We are very fortunate to have such a skilled neurosurgeon in Southern Illinois! His PA, Angela, is also wonderful and she is so easy to talk to and really knows her stuff!
