Extremely rude doctor. Not someone I would recommend.

Dr. Abend is very personable and has great "bed-side-manner." The office atmosphere is extremely open and friendly and the staff is pleasant and very helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Abend and this practice.

I have been coming here for a few weeks be use of an auto accident ad I have had the pleasure of meeting some of the most incredible patient care folks. From the front office to physical therapy, they have been awesome.

This doctor needs to retire. It is obvious he is not happy in his work. You feel the negative energy as soon as he walks in. He is not the least bit interested in any type of collaboration with his patients. He is very rude, curt and obnoxious when speaking. His staff is aware - the last time I was there the nurse asked if I was okay after she heard how he spoke to me. When I left his office that day, I knew I would not return. The staff is probably too intimidated to speak up so I'm sure things will never change. At least if people read these reviews they will be forewarned!

I really did not like this Doctor and I would stay away unless your 85 years old and dont care about getting better. I went in for a knee consultation and was prescribed physical therapy for 6 weeks and a KT1000 test. This is to test the strength of your ligament and done by the PT. Upon the 6 week prescription and the KT1000 he dismissed the test and said that it only works if the PT is accurate, why would he prescribe something that he knows wont come out well. Horrible professionalism and stay away!

A very good Dr -- prompt visits and great follow up

This doctor has a horrible bedside manner and does not respect his patients. He only spoke with me a couple of minutes and then walked out before I could explain my circumstances. He ordered x-rays even after I told him a prior doctor had just done that! He made an unprofessional remark to me that I care not repeat, so I switched ortho specialist. When I called to obtain the x-rays, his x-ray tech hung up on me after I explained that I did not think it was fair to charge me a fee for my x-rays when in fact my insurance had already paid for them. I had also explained to the tech that I would not be returning so I did not understand why they needed to keep my xrays. Additionally, when I was sitting in the waiting room for this particular appointment, another patient was leaving and told me that this particular office and staff were not very nice...I should have walked out when I had the chance!

Dr. Abend has a very uncaring manner. He is quite dismissive and has little respect for his patients. His staff is mediocre and not particularly accomodating. Think twice before you visit this doctor. You can do much better.
