Dr. Jeffrey D Alberts, MD

I used to see Dr. Alberts back in 2003. This was the year I developed an eating disorder. I would restrict my calories and obsessively exercise, even after intense Track & Field workouts. I felt like he really understood the pain I was going through. He was one of the few people through my long journey of Mental Health Professionals who showed true compassion and empathy. Sometimes that's all you need in a visit. He foreshadowed my Borderline Personality Disorder by more than 12 years (it can be hard to diagnose at age 15) but he recognized the "splitting" that commonly occurs- and no one else did for over a decade. I'm writing a review because as I look back on 16 years of Mental Health treatment, Dr. Alberts stands out as possibly the best Doctor I've had the opportunity to work with. Many Thanks. ~EM

He really takes the time to talk with you about any issues you have during appointments; shows genuine compassion for his patients. Provides HRT for transgender individuals. He is very educated on the unique health care needs of the LGBTQ population.
