Dr. Anker is not only a knowledgeable and competent doctor but also compassionate and dedicated. He goes above and beyond to make himself available to his patients. Dr. Anker is an innovative doctor who will work with you tirelessly to find the best solution to your problems. He is not the kind of psychiatrist who will just throw the newest or most popular medications at you and then show you the door. I spent fifteen years of my life not being treated properly by another psychiatrist, including being pushed into eletroconvulsive therapy but being told that I could not take lithium to treat bipolar disorder. Not only is this man an exceptional doctor, he saved my life.

Dr. Anker is always kind, caring, and he listens and watches carefully to help you notice when your moods subtly shift so you can pay closer attention on your own time. He helps you get in the habit of stopping yourself and paying closer attention to what's going on internally and why it might be happening. This is an invaluable tool that can provide a lifetime of help. He is always available to patients and will get back to you if you have a problem after hours or on a day when you don't have an appointment.

Has no regard for ethics. Violated HIPAA in a most egregious way. Threatened me to make me take more meds, but when I developed lithium toxicity, it was "my fault because I chose to be compliant." Another former patient wanted to take him to the Board of Ethics to have his license revoked. He brainwashes people into thinking he is omniscient just to make all that extra $$$.

First Psychiatrist who did not make me feel like they were pushing meds on me and shuffling me out the door. Very professional and thorough.
