Dr. Jeffrey Earl Ball, MD

I was a care companion for a patient of Dr. Ball when he was affiliated with Dr. Dosik. I was impressed with his caring and patience and ability to see the patient as a whole person, not just their disease. I would recommend him highly for these qualities. I was less happy with the office and the treatment facility was closed on weekends and holidays, resulting in gaps in treatment that may have compromised it's effectiveness.

I have been a patient of Dr. Ball's for more than three years. During this time he has shown the greatest respect and care for me.

He was my oncologist at ny methodist hosipital. I never did meet him. I saw residents he was training. The three different residents I dealt with had their unique quirks and opinions of my case. I have lung cancer that spread to some bones. During chemo-therapy treatments there were many problems; I still never spoke to Dr. ball. The cancer was going into remission,but I was told my blood lab results were too low to get more chemo-therapy. One resident actually told me I would die if I didn't get more chemo treatments. For two months the Dr. Ball team held back chemo treatments. I asked if there was a plan of action and if I could speak to Dr. ball, the nurse at the infusion center told me she would try to contact a resident by phone. I waited for an hour and then decided to change doctors. The chemo records were the only medical records I had difficulty obtaining. I changed doctors six months ago and for the last five months I've felt better than I could of imagined. My new doctor put… me on Tarceva since I had failed chemo treatments. Thats what I know about the invisible Dr. Ball.
