Dr. Jeffrey Basa, MD

I have been a patient of his for many years now. He is extremely attentive to my needs and is more than willing to consider other options when I am uncomfortable with the standard procedure. He has an excellent bedside manner and is truly empathetic too.

Dr. Basa has been my doctor for almost a year now. He is extremely knowledgeable and competent in dealing with me. He has seen me through a catastrophic illness and is very encouraging during the visits in alleviating my fears. Takes time to answer questions to be sure that you have an understanding of your health and the direction in which you are going with the prescribed medication and treatment. I have to disagree with some of the others comments on the office staff…they have been nothing but kind and considerate, even when confronted with disgruntled and impatient people. I’m glad I found Dr. Basa!

I have been a patient of dr. Basa's for years. He is a competent doctor and has a lovely "bed side manner". However, I have to add my voice to those who have been less than satisfied with the way this office is run. The attitude of most of the ladies who work there appears to be that patients are a bother to them, and most especially when having to deal with them on the phone, as others have noted. Dr. Basa deserves a better run office with a staff that reflects the same concern for his patients as he does, with a better phone and computer systems.

office staff is very rude. Message left for Doctor on Thursday to restart a needed medication, Nurse Manager Diane did not relay information to doctor. I was told on Friday that he was out of the office until Monday and that this was not life or death so I would just have to wait.

I like Dr. Basa VERY much. He was very kind, professional, and knowledgeable. During my new patient visit he spent lots of time getting to know me and my health conditions. I would recommend him personally to anyone. However, the group office he is in is very difficult to deal with. Dr. Basa told me that for my age and health, I should plan a physical every 2-3 years, not annually. So I hadn't seen him for 2 years. I called yesterday to make an appointment, and could only get an answering machine saying they were busy, please leave a message and they will return the call "within 24 hours". Annoying, since I call when I have a chance to speak, and can't easily stop working to take their call the next day. When they called back today, they said that since I hadn't been in for 2 years, that I was no longer considered an established patient, and that I needed to start over as a new patient. They could get me in in approximately 7 months. Unfortunately, although I love Dr. Basa,… I'll be looking for a new office.

Dr. Basa is great but his office practice is poor. His phone system has been broken for two years. You cannot directly call his office, and the staff do not always return phone calls. He also is heavily booked which means if you have an urgent need to see him, his office staff will put you off and not schedule you same day. Overall, I cannot recommend him because of the way he runs his practice.
