had nissen surgery with Dr Bender a few years back for a hiatal hernia. Before surgery my acid reflux was under control with 1 otc Prilosec daily. After surgery first off I threw up everything I ate for months because he told me I didn't need prilosec any more not true after going to a different Dr finally I know have to take 2 prescription acid reflux pills per day and still have alot of issues I can't eat many things that I could before surgery like anything with tomato sauce. I don't sleep well at night because I must sleep all propped up otherwise I reflux all night no matter what I eat. I think he did a terrible job on my surgery and wish I had never stepped foot in his office as I will never be the same.
