He had been my specialist for several years. I had no issues with him. Then I went to see him and wow! He talked down to me and ridiculed me. Being a medical professional myself I was floored. After the app't I sat outside and cried. Apparantly I am not the only one to have this abuse! Wish I had been more assertive with him.

I'm not sure it is worth writing a review here as I wonder how often the site is updated. The picture listed must be at least 10 years old! Nevertheless, I was very pleased with my visit. The doctor took a good amount of time to review all of my records and explained things in a way I could understand. I was worried when I read one of the reviews but I can't imagine this was the same person they reviewed. (you have to wonder if it is even real when the review is so outrageously bad - I can't imagine a doctor "jumping up on a stretcher" with a patient!?) I would go back if I need help, again.

He was courteous and started the appointment right on time. I felt comfortable with his explanations which were in understandable English. The office was also nice. I will definitely go back.

This so called doctor is both ignorant and arrogant. He does not know what he is talking about and will easily mislead you. He enjoys being in "attack" mode and never heard of a bedside manner.

I didn't want to give this "so called doctor" any stars, but it wasn't possible - so I gave him 1 star. Never visited him in his office, but he saw my daughter while she was inpatient and both Abington and Doylestown Hospitals. My Dear Daughter has been sick now for 12 years - and we had to move to CA to be near better doctors and hospitals. This Berman person was VERY COLD. He accused my daughter of only wanting pain meds - and actually said there was "nothing" wrong with her! When we got to Stanford Medical Center here in CA - they found MANY things wrong with my Daughter - and she needs her SIXTH surgery. This doctor could care less. What he really HATES is the fact that I acted as my Daughter's advocate because I was sick of doctors that didn't know what they were doing. When she was in Doylestown Hospital, I told Berman that she needed to see an OB/GYN - so he sent one in. The very first thing that OB/GYN said was "I want you to know I don't give pain medication." Now… where do you think he heard that - obviously from Berman! I have nothing good to say about this doctor.

My experience of Dr Berman and my reading of these patients' remarks lead me to think that Dr Berman is in a state of professional 'burn out' in which his professional competence has not been impaired but his psyche is exhausted. I experienced this in my profession which was not medicine. There is expert help available. I hope fellow doctors will help him take advantage of it. I feel compassion for his situation but when I am sick I need to get compassion more than giving it. The job assignments for the support staff are so rigidly defined by management that I feel like each one can't wait to get rid of me by passing my phone call on to someone else. If I insisted on being listened to, sometimes they would give up and treat me like a human being with problems. Maybe some of them are on the edge of 'burning out' on patients who may be suffering. Each of us carries invisible burdens and sometimes we cannot even guess the heaviness of someone else's load.

Dr. Berman always follows up with me whenever needed. He also has referred me to additional doctors for their opinions. He is very sincere and honest about your diagonis. One of the best doctors I have ever had.
