Dr. Jeffrey L Butts, DO

Dr. Butts is kind, knowledgeable, intent, and caring. My spouse has been under his care for a long time now. With addiction there are ups and downs. He realizes this and sets up a care plan to help the patient. He cares deeply about his patients. We have had issues after hours and he called immediately after us leaving a message on their primary line. I wished more doctors were like him.

Dr Butts is professional, intuitive , respectful and takes the time to really deal with the issue at hand. He is one of the most compassionate and understanding Physicians I know

I recommend Dr. Butts if youâ??re dealing with drug, alcohol, opioid, or heroin addiction. The detox clinic is located just outside Boerne in a new office complex surrounded by oak trees. Itâ??s quiet, clean, and discreet. Dr. Buttâ??s does not prescribe medication and then dash away; you sit on a soft couch in his office and talk about your experiences so he can better understand your situation, emotions, and goals. Then he patiently lays out a course of treatment, medication, and milestones for recovery. I was charged a flat-fee for each visit. The first visit costs more because he spends extra time learning your history and working up an initial plan. He can prescribe Vivitrol, Resolv, Zubsolv, Suboxone, Buprenorphine (BMT), anti-depressants, etc. as part of the treatment. They can also offer a sober assist recovery system so you can check-in, meet with a support group, find counseling, and work through the hardest phases of the addiction recovery process. I was really… nervous about my first visit, but I can honestly say that afterward, I wished I had made an appointment sooner. I fell like Dr. Butts understood my difficulty and genuinely cared about my recovery. If youâ??re stuck on repeat, make an appointment, you wonâ??t regret it.

I like the fact that Dr. Butts, is real laid back, I do not like the personal questions that are asked. I beleive that some of the questions are not neccessary. Overall he's good at getting my diadnose and medication for me.
