Dr Callen literally saved my life. Best Doctor I've ever known.

Dr. Callen is a very good physician. However, after years and years of staff errors, arguing with me whether I am a patient of record, the phone sysyr consistently hanging up on me when calling for appointments, etc. I had to find a new physician.

I have been going to Dr. Callen for a relatively rare skin condition, requiring meds that need careful monitoring. I am so grateful to have his experience and expertise in treating this condition, and the fact that he cares about helping me by explaining issues carefully and monitoring my care. He is sensitive to my needs and makes sure the treatments are within my means, and he communicates with my other specialists in a timely and helpful manner. It's truly a gift to have Dr. Callen as my Dermatologist, and I am grateful every day.

Based on consultations with other, more knowledgeable oncologists and dermatologists, Dr. Callen provided the wrong treatment for me a series of times. I trusted his expertise and suffered through a year of methotrexate that subsequent doctors have indicated was an ill advised treatment option. Pompous and poor treatment: lethal combination.

I began seeing Dr. Callen when I was 15. I had alopecia. My parents had taken me to several doctors in Kentucky for nearly 5 years resulting in no findings or cure. Then I went to see Dr. Callen. This man gave me back more than just my hair. He gave me back my confidence and I was able to toss those annoying wigs. He will always be one of the finest doctors I will ever experience dealing with. Thank you Dr. Callen.

I was referred to Dr. Callen by my regular dermatologist (a prior resident under Dr. Callen), due to my repeared reactions to the only medication that treats my condition (LIgA). His staff were professional and courteous. The facility was excellently maintained, and his clinical staff were great. I first seen a resident (Dr. Abner). She had clearly studied my diagnosis, and proved to be an excellent communicator. She took a thorough history, conducted a detailed exam, and explained my disease and her thoughts as she went. Her bedside manner was top shelf and she evoked confidence in her clinical like abilities. Dr. Callen then repeated much of the same, and offered small chit chat along the way. He demonstrated a commanding knowledge of my condition, and had my confidence very early on. He considered my medications and made a change to another med that ceased being made 10-15yrs. ago. At thispoit Im am well over an hour into a 20min appt. Dr. Callen spent the next 25mins in the… room with me calling compounding pharmacies all ovr the country to find one that would make the medication. Great facility + Great staff + Great doctors = Exceptional patient experience!

He is an excellent doctor who has continued his learning over the years.

Complicated situation was not diagnosed correctly by several other doctors, but Dr. Callen knew exactly what the issue was and how to get me on the way to recovery. I was at my wits end with this condition, and it was a blessed relief to experience his knowledge and skills at work. So grateful for his expert knowledge and kind manner! I recommend him without reserve and with highest praise.

Avery special and talented doctor. Even the experience of dealing with this guy seemed to have a healing effect to the office visit. He is just a friend at first site. He would be perfect example of ever young doctor starting out. He so prefessonal and intellegent, and yet makes you feel as if you were a long time friend.
