Dr. Jeffrey James Curnes, DO

I have tried several times to leave a review it keeps saying that I have said something in there that they won't accept. I have not used profanity I have not used any drug names I have not used anything that would keep it from submitting. This doctor is very rude dismissive and condescending. He would not let me talk he kept cutting me off he accused me of things. He assumed things. I have several serious conditions that have newly been diagnosed and I was scared. And I felt very unheard and very dismissed and very rushed. And after I left the ER he wrote in my file on my chart that I was aggressive and flailing my arms in the room. I did no such thing. I removed my monitors to leave and that was all . I also told him that I didn't like his smirk and I didn't like that he kept talking over me and wouldn't listen to me I said I'm an intelligent woman and I don't appreciate you just missing me this way. And then he said he didn't have to take this and he walked out of the room and I said… to him well that's very professional and I left and on my way out I told the nurse that he didn't listen to me and that I just wanted to ask him a question about scar tissue from radiation and the pain it was causing in my ribs and my lungs. I didn't get a chance. Never got a chance. He told me I was anxious I was in there because I thought I had a clot. Of course I was anxious

Seen in ER for uncontrolled high blood pressure, shaking, light headedness, strange feeling like kicking in upper left chest, and just not well. No history or physical exam other than listening to chest 2 times and back once. Told to go home, there's nothing wrong with you with BP near 200/94. He provided me with inadequate care and put me at risk for heart attack and or stroke. He was arrogant, rude and angry and discharged me within the first five minutes of seeing me. I ended up treating myself unsafely at home by doubling all 3 of my BP meds and taking a Klonopin to calm down. My pressure dropped to 90/47 within 30 minutes. I was scared to death; Grundy Center Hospital has a define liability with this guy.

this provider treated my son and myself with complete disrespect. he did not listen to events leading up to ER visit and was quick to make a judgment about what was wrong with my son before examined him or took an accurate history. He was completely arrogant and blew off my son's problems while explaining how long he had been an ER doctor and why he knew he was right. I have been a nurse for almost 30 years and he is the rudest, most arrogant physician I have ever spoken to.

I like that he took time to listen and addressed all of my concerns. The staff at St Lukes are the BEST!
