Dr. Jeffrey Marc Dembner, MD

Do not waste your time with this guy, St.Peters brought him in temporarily due to being short staffed on neurosurgeons. He’s book smart but has zero bedside manners. He’s straight up cocky and rude, when he disagreed with my surgeons opinion, I asked him what next steps should be. He just threw up his hands and said “I don’t know”. Such a joke. A lot of other patients have documented their grievances as well.

He has absolutely no compassion or empathy for his patients. He may be a good surgeon but has no empathy or sympathy with what we’re going through.

Dr. Dembner is BOOK savvy but not PEOPLE savvy, nonetheless, he provided good information regarding my issues. I've met with him twice. He is recommending surgery for me and was very much open to me obtaining a second opinion, I declined. He's a straight shooter, rough around the edges, but I appreciate his candor....

i wish i wrote this earlier to warn others. i feel bad now. yes he does take ins. all ins. but the trick question which i was to naive to ask was are you in NETWORK!. he took my ins, but i assumed in network. lesson learned. $14,000 out of pocket!!! he did a good job and was actually pleasant with me but $14,000. felt sick to my stomach. that's was so hard to except. lesson learned..

Over the top emotional and extremely poor bedside manners. While waiting to be seen by him, I could hear him in the other room stating profanities. What kind of doctor is heard screaming in his halls using profanities. Why use such a word in a medical office. While he seemed confident and factual during the exam, his protocol and aftermath left me wanting to seek out alternatives. Another Doctor referred me to a surgeon outside Dembner's network and that Surgeon told me that he is now treating one of Dembner's patients because Dr. Dembner was too aggressive with her and CUT A NERVE, and she is now toast. Not very comforting words to hear when you are considering surgery with him. When I confronted Dembner on this, he called the other doctor a quack and a liar and then accused him of just trying to steal patients. Truth or not, this kind of behavior is off the charts. In the days to follow he sent me a certified letter dismissing me from his care, even emergency care. Get a second… opinion, or take mine and avoid him altogether. He probably is good at what he does, "one trick pony" but bedside manners are incorrigible.

Rude receptionist and it took four months from the time my referral for my appointment. I,was scheduled four months from the point of approval.

have to say he is an exceptional doctor. did my neck fusion, and came out great. but as far as telling you everything about ins coverage. better ask everything!!!!!

I saw Dr. Dembner once and will never see him again. I have never encountered a more arrogant and abrasive doctor. While waiting over an hour to see him, I overheard him yelling at someone in the hall that they were "wasting his time." When he entered the exam room, he was extremely abrupt and almost gave me the feeling that I was wasting his time. When you are consulting with a surgeon who may be performing surgery on your spine, you would like to establish a trusting relationship with that surgeon and feel that he actually cares about you as a person, not just about his expertise in his profession. His advice to me seemed to vacillate between recommending surgery and giving me the feeling that surgery was unnecessary. I've never felt more uncomfortable in a physician's office. He may be a Yale Graduate, but he could use a lesson in common courtesy. Avoid this doctor if at all possible!!

Excellent doctor. His skills as a diagnostician and surgeon are better than any I have previously experienced.

do not go elsewhere. worth every penny!!
