He was well knowledge on whats going on with my pain. He knew the best plan for long term care.

Rude and arrogant

This is the most arrogant, belittling ,degrading Dr I have ever seen. He has no empathy for anyone. But he has a real high opinion of himself. He should not be dealing with people who are in pain.

I walked in the room and this doctor already had a perceived what was wrong with me without even looking at my file or listening to me as to my level of pain and how I was feeling and coping with this pain.All he cares about getting paid. A very inconsiderate and selfish doctor. Would never see him again.

This is an old one as it happened at the end of 2007. I had severely herniated a disc and another ready to go any minute while I was about 8 weeks pregnant with my oldest child. By the time I saw Dr. D. I had finally been able to have my MRI at 12wks and he was great. He walked in, looked at me, said he had just been looking at my MRI and that we should go to the OR that day. Surgery ended up being about a week later with great attention paid to my growing baby while in the OR. I also credit Dr. D. for his honesty. I was newly 21 at the time and he let me know that the road ahead would be bad. I would need more and quite aggressive surgery (he was only able to do the bare minimum at the time). I've ended up having a few more surgeries since then but I've never gone in thinking "this will fix me" because of his honesty with me. If I was still in MN I would glady see him again.

When he asked me if I drank milk, I said I did. He's said most of my patients find that when they drink milk they feel better...seriously...I just told him that I drink milk. Then he asked if I work out. I told him that I do about 60 minutes a day, and he said that I needed to exercise more and that I should "go join a gym or the YMCA" after I had just told him that I do the elliptical and classes at Anytime. So, then he proceeded to say that surgery may "make me look better" (I never thought I looked bad in the first place) but it "won't make me feel better". I honestly felt like I was treated as rudely as I could have been by anyone, let alone a doctor.

Doctor D was very thoughtful about how to approach my case. I was still in a little denial and deflection until the pain became so severe that I had to come clean. Spinal Stenosis. My case involved five vertebrae and he made sure I understood the MRI and the procedure he would follow. That was seven weeks ago and the debilitating, stabbing pain that had me crawling... unable to stand up and walk is gone. I am now dealing with returning to a normal physical life which requires exercise... which I am slacking on. I expect to be put on task with a quip or metaphor aimed at the center of my lazy approach. I could tell within hours of coming out of the anesthetics that the pain of the stenosis was mostly gone... that Dr. D had done a great job. The pain of the surgery is now pretty minimal and the residual pain in my muscles is a tad rough but diminishing and should become better sooner if I exercise by walking more as he suggests.

(This site treats the doctor's name as profanity. So I'll just use Dr.) I had sudden onset of severe sciatic pain. I was referred to Dr. after x-rays and an MRI. He did a great job of assessing my condition and listing the treatment options. I told Dr. I wanted to be able to walk again without pain or fear of falling. Surgery was the best course of action for me and, again, he told me about the risks of surgery. The day of the surgery we talked again before the surgery to reaffirm what was going to happen and then afterward to tell what he found and was able to do. I am happy to report I'm walking without pain and because I dove into the rehabilitation process am starting to play golf again. My sincere thanks to Dr. and everyone on his team at Twin Cities Orthopedics.

Judge me before he had my whole story, my whole appointment very disorganized even though I had brought all my stuff nothing was loaded on computer so he had the facts for appointment, he spent first half of time focussed on my melds instead of helping find a solution to my neck pain.
