Dr. Everitt graduated from New York University in 1972 and received his DMD from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1976. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the New Jersey Dental Association, has been a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry for over 25 years, and has been on staff at JFK Hospital in the Department of Dentistry for equally as long. He has certificates from the Pankey Institute and the Dawson Center of Advanced Dental Study in prosthetics (oral reconstruction with crowns, bridges, dentures and implants), the American Association of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Association of Aesthetic Dentistry. He is also certified in Conscious Sedation (pre-medicating patients to relieve anxiety before treatment) Invisalign Orthodontics, and TMJ treatment. His post-graduate training has been extensive and has been in all areas of dentistry that might be a benefit to his patients, and in the technology that has revolutionized the way …dentistry is practiced today. His was the first class in Dental School to learn bonding as a restorative modality, and he has continued throughout his career to integrate into his practice the newest science and materials of “bonded” tooth-colored dentistry. Most recently,  he has become certified in the new Cerinate porcelain system for crowns and veneers ( Lumineers). Dr. Everitt has built a reputation for combining science and art with meticulous attention to detail so that beautiful, long-lasting dentistry is an everyday reality for his patients.
Dr. Everitt began practicing in this area in 1977 after completing a general practice residency at Long Island Jewish North Shore Hospital. He graduated at the top of his class from FDU, was elected by the faculty into the Dental Honors Fraternity OKU, received the Alumni Association Award as outstanding graduate and a Mosby Scholarship. In addition to his academic achievements he was president of his class and president in his senior year of the Student Dental Association. Dr. Everitt is married and the father of two daughters. His interests, aside from dentistry, include art and yoga, reading (especially history) and travel. His interest in architecture led him to design the office we now use. He takes great pleasure in seeing patients today that have been with him 25 to 30 years, and now their childrens’ children, as well as new patients who want to begin a relationship with him based on trust, comfort, and modern comprehensive care.
