I have been to Dr. Folk a few times. He has always been very kind and knows what he is doing. He has helped with my back pain for 15 years.

He has prevented me from having surgery for 10 + years thanks to guidance, injections and advice as to what to do and not to do!

I've seen five different pain specialist in the area, Charleston SC. Dr Folk is by far, the best. He takes the time to explain in detail your diagnosis and his suggested plan to treat your chronic pain. I highly recommend the office of InterveneMD. Dr Joye is also excellent. The office staff is very professional and efficient.

I wouldn't go any place else

Dr. Folk is incredible. On time, personal, not medically intensive language - he speaks so you understand, reliable and understanding. My back improved tremendously following Dr. Folk's treatments.

Really took time to listen to what was going on with me. I felt "heard". Had pain injections. I thought he was just getting started when he was finished. I got the recommendation from a hospital anesthesiologist that I knew. I felt very comfortable. Be careful out there looking for pain specialists. This physician is qualified. I'm a registered pediatric/ labor amd delivery nurse. I was impressed.

I found Dr Folk to be far more pragmatic than most I have met - open to discussion, and listened to my comments as attentively as I listened to his. Most unusual! He gave advice on gleaning 2nd opinions from other Doctors, and offered himself for further discussions should the need arise.
