He's amazing doctor always listens to his patients concerns

Dr Gartrell has been a wonderful doctor. My family has been seeing him for over 6 months now. He is the only doctor so far to actually diagnose and show concern for my significant other's GI issues. He referred her to a GI specialist that he knows, who has seen similar issues in patients. Now after over 4 years she is finally on the road to recovery from a surgery that should have happened years ago. He has been nothing but helpful for my family. He listens to your concerns, explains what he thinks is the issue, allows you to put in your input on your care and makes sure you leave understanding what went on and what the next step is. He is smart, and knows when someone else has a better understanding of an illness or issue. He has been helpful about getting needed referrals to specialists, and follows up on the care seen at the specialists. He doesn't push medicine, he also doesn't withhold medicine either. We discussed some medicine that can help prevent diabetes onset in… prediabetic patients pending results from a test, he was willing to prescribe it providing my results came back as prediabetic. Luckily they didn't and he said the value in prescribing it wasn't worth any side effects when I wasn't prediabetic.

First time seeing him. Spent time with me and addressed my concerns. Excellent ! I had some personal issues, that he made me very comfortable discussing.

Spent plenty of time with me while addressing my conerns. Tried to get to the root cause of my symptoms instead of just treating the symptoms. Very kind and listens to every concern without making you rushed.

Very good doctor takes time to listen to your concerns and questions does not rush you.
