Dr. Jeffrey Robert Gerson, MD

I took my elderly mom to see dr. Gerson after she got back from the hospital following a week long stay. Dr Gerson took over an hour to go over the lab results and tests. He took the time to explain everything - and I feel as if I finally understand why she was in the hospital and we have a good plan going forward. I am very grateful to Dr Gerson.

He talked to me like I was a child, and basically ignored anything I had to say. His diagnosis didn’t match at all with my symptoms. Stay away!!!!

To the point Doctor but listened and had a pleasant personality. Cannot understand the poor reviews, I found him to be quit the contrary.

Was with him for years and satisfied with service then he joined a medical group. I hate medical group because of their patient assemblyline mentality. Quantity over quality. But I kept my next appointment because well, didn't want to discount him for that. Sure enough, the pressure to see more patients and rapidly drained him of all compassion. He was impatient and brusque and his staff even worse. His old staff who were pleasant and friendly were gone. In their place, I had unprofessional staff who in front of me openly gossiped about his former staff brought over with him but who I never got to see. He and his staff refused to work with me to schedule colonscopy in morning at the location I was accustomed to. When I broke down in tears, they didn't even try to comfort or calm me. If you have to work up the nerve to even face this kind of thing, find another doctor. His compassion is gone. Also, in the argument, it came out that during the colonscopy a year and a half… earlier, he had to staple a bleed and he never told me. If I have a bleed, that's a thing I want to know! It is one of my fears with colonscopies. If you're mobility impaired don't go because they shuffled you through three different waiting rooms before you even see doctor and miles of hallways to do so.
