Dr. Jeffrey William Gilman, MD

Dr Gilman, misdiagnosed an infant as being in immediate danger which led to his removal from his parents. Just two months later administrators from Cook Hospital having reviewed the same information he did saw no reason for his diagnosis. Also, his findings were found unsubstantiated by an expert in the field. Dr Gilman, is a very poor emergency room doctor not to be trusted especially since his own hospital did not back his poor decision.

My 7 week old baby became ill over the weekend so we took her to the ER at Cook Childrens and was seen by Dr.Gilman. Dr. Gilman explained what would be done, and the possible diagnosis for my daughter based on symptoms, later, he examined her with great delicacy and reviewed the lab results with me and explained exactly what my daughter had (RSV that later developed into Bronchiolitis) what was being done and any other possibilities that might come up. He took me step by step in understanding the care she would be receiving and made me feel welcome in asking questions. I've never felt so involved and informed in regards to my daughter's care as I did during both ER visits with Dr. Gilman. Great Doctor!
