A truly amazing doctor

I am a former undercover Massachusetts State Police Officer who suffers from PTSD as a direct result of spending two years alone posing as a heroin addict. Dr. Goldbarg was not my doctor. However, he was the medical professional assigned to evaluate my disability by the Massachusetts State Police Retirement Rating Board. Because of the stigma that engulfs mental illness the board was shamefully predetermined to block, and continues to do so, a truly well deserved disability pension.Dr. Goldbarg's competence is unquestionable and his diagnosis, regardless of the political ramifications, was very accurate to say the least. However,years after his analytical job was over I wrote him a letter just to let him know how much I respected him for his unselfish professional behavior. This doctor had nothing to gain by responding to my letter but he did. In spite of the discriminatory treatment I continued to experience he gave me some advice that caused me to shed tears of appreciation and… pride. He stated that I should retain my "dignity" even though I was being betrayed by the very state that my dedication to was the direct cause of my disability.This doctor is truly a credit to the entire medical profession and if there is an award for competence, honor and the backbone to to carry them out Dr. Jeffrey Robbins Goldbarg surely deserves to be nominated. Amen!

Dr. Jeffrey Robbins Goldbarg:He is a very competent medical professional which is something that is expected with people that choose his career. However, this gentleman is also extremely honorable and has the backbone to stand up for the honor of the entire medical profession.
