Dr. Greenberg earned his undergraduate degree with honors from Grinnell College in 1980. He remains an active alumnus having served as President of the Alumni Association and as a member of the Board of Trustees. After receiving his master's degree in human anatomy from Ohio State University in 1982 he went on to obtain his medical degree with honors from George Washington University. His general surgery internship and orthopaedic surgery residency were completed at the State University of New York at Syracuse. Dr. Greenberg was an Indiana Hand Center fellow from 1991 to 1992 and joined the practice in 1993. He maintains his board certification in orthopedic surgery through the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and has his Certificate of Added Qualifications in hand surgery.

Dr. Greenberg's specialty interest include reconstructive surgery of the upper extremity with emphasis on the wrist and shoulder. He has great interest in arthroscopic treatment and has participated on the …teaching faculty for the AAOS and ASSH wrist arthroscopy courses. In addition, Dr. Greenberg continues to be actively involved in scientific research, writing and teaching. His research on a new method for biceps tendon repair led to a new surgical technique. He holds a patent for a wrist replacement device that he has developed. He is an active faculty member on numerous courses focusing on teaching hand and upper extremity reconstruction to surgeons nationally and worldwide. He has been the chairman for many courses held at annual meetings and has also written numerous book chapters and articles. He has been an associate editor for the Journal of Hand Surgery as well as the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. In addition to his teaching activities at The Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center, he holds a clinical teaching appointment at Indiana University. He is actively involved with the American Society for Surgery of the Hand as well as the American Association for Hand Surgery, serving on a variety of committees, on the foundation boards for both societies and coordinating academic sessions and scientific presentations. In addition, he is an active volunteer and has done medical missions to under-served areas including India, Guatemala, Honduras and Northeastern Arizona.

Best surgeon and care team out there. Dr. Greenberg is very informative and thorough. His care team is outstanding all my issues and concerns were addressed immediately. From my initial new patient appointment all the way until post surgery follow ups I can say this is the best medical staff around.

The appointment took place right on time. All the staff were very knowledgeable, and considerate. They understood the problem and did a great job of diagnosing the problems. It is a very well run orthopedic practice. I would definitely recommend them.

Dr. Greenberg is professional, prompt and efficient. His staff and the way they run the offices is top notch. There is very little turnover as I’ve worked with the same folks for many years. I have had several doctors over the years and this practice is right at the top. I recommend Dr. Greenburg to everyone He’s operated on me twice and I trust him implicitly.

I have been seeing Dr. Greenberg for about 8 years now and can’t imagine going to anyone else. He did trigger finger release 8 years ago and now he is getting ready to both of my thumbs. Great people working there and wouldn’t go any place else.
