Dr. Jeffrey August Hagen, MD

Dr Hagen and his staff are absolutely FANTASTIC. My Father (87) was diagnosed with Lung Cancer, was operated on and is now Cancer Free. Dr Hagen takes the time to answer any questions - big or small, answers in a way you can understand , does not hold back or sugar coat, gives you facts, what will happen, what could happen, and what the results should be. By far I consider him excellent. He made us feel very at ease and in good hands. I recommend to ANYONE having to go through this terrible disease. I am only allowed to give him 5 stars here otherwise he would have 20! Thank you Dr Hagen - Thank you!

I was very scared at first because he said he had to collapse my lung while doing surgery. The thought of that was scary. He was very to the point not friendly which scared me too but he has a excellent reputation and I trusted him . I even got a smile at follow up visit .i would definitely recommend him..

Would we chose this Dr. again? YES! Eight years later, my husband continues to thrive, one of the few esophageal cancer survivors' whose odds were against him. I'm so grateful for Dr. Hagen's expertise and truthfulness, and will never forget the treatment received. The patient needs to fight...and let Dr. Hagen do the rest.

Dr. Hagen is a great surgeon. He performed a Toupette Fundoplication on me four years ago. He did't promise that it would solve my chronic cough, but four years later, I am 95% cough free. He has a terrible bedside manner, but if you want a great surgeon, he is your man. His immediate office staff was great, but the person dealing with scheduling was terrible. Hopefully after four years, this has been corrected.

Dr. Hagen does not have the patient's best interest in mind. He talks at you and doesn't care to have dialogue. He is egotistical and has terrible bed side manners. He thinks in terms of dollars and how he can perform another surgery even if it mean withholding the truth.
