Dr. Jeffrey Becker Hanson, MD

Dr. Hanson's knowledge of neo-natal pediatrics is astounding. At birth, our son was placed under his care unexpectedly at the PS/L Nicu for a relatively rare newborn illness called Non-Immune Hydrops Fetalis. Initally, his chance of survival was less than 50%. He is now a healthy, thriving 2-1/2 year old. Dr. Hanson's expertise, his admirably honest, caring communications and advice, and his willingness to take time to answer all of our questions made our very difficult situation seem less stressful at the time. Other patients' families I spoke with agreed he was the best doctor they had ever had the "misfortune" to meet (the NICU is not the place you want to find yourself after your child is born!) I could rest in peace away from the hospital each night for 2 months knowing God was holding our son in the hands of one of the country's most worthy and competent neonatologists. Whatever our son's outcome would have been, he was fortunate to have been under the care of such a special man.
