Never met the medical director but his 3 colleagues are idiots. Because of them I am extremely ill like never before. I am seeing a doctor at hunterdon Gastro tomorrow. I heard they r better. Advanced Gastro discriminates ppl based on their healthcare coverage. I hope ppl learn about this selfish unprofessional practice ( head nurse is a psychopath by the way) God bless

I have been a patient of Dr. Hartford’s for the last 12 years and I can give nothing but positive feedback about his competencies as a Gastroenterologist and his “bed side manners”. I have had 3 colonoscopies performed by him and he always made sure to share the results immediately, give advice, adjust the prep to my needs (for the next time) and always has a friendly word or a joke to share and even asks for my favorite music to play (the Dire Straits/Mark Knopfler this time) before I “go under”. A really nice an personal touch. Thanks, Dr. Hartford....

Dr Hartford is a great doctor. He is thorough, professional, and patient-centric.

Very disappointed with the 'new amazing technology' for hemorrhoid removal. I was told this surgery was painless and effective, yet still dealing with problems to this day because of it.. problems with 'leaks' now.. great. also, same issue as others .. total lack of privacy at the flemington facility. My biggest upset with this practice was having to find out I had pre cancerous polyps removed by someone in the office .. AFTER I had to call and ask many weeks later, when nobody there called or followed up with me.

I have been under Dr. Hartford's care for GERD now for a number of years. During that time he was able to hold a number of symptoms at bay and kept me under close surveillance. This summer he saw some cell dysplasia that concerned him and referred me to an expert for further diagnosis. I had esophageal cancer and it was caught it time to see me completely cured. Plain and simply he saved my life. I have always appreciated his stoic, discerning bedside manner.

I was a patient of Dr. Hartford in 2009-2010 and today I am still dealing with his poor care. He put me on all kinds of medicines without telling me to get a blood test every two weeks. Now I have a compromised kidney (39% functioning)from the medicine. This could have been an easy fix if he would have monditerd me correctly. He also put me on Hummera which is a medicine for crowns disease not ulcetive colitis. You are a complete guinea pig with this man.

Very disappointed with the surgery. I figured I would remove hemorrhoids while undergoing a colonoscopy. No difference at all with the 'BET' hemorrhoi ...

Humiliating to be waiting in a giant room with other patients right next to you (and across the room to stare at ) , with everybody listening to your private answers asked by the nurses prior to surgery. It felt like a cattle farm, NO DRAPES , absolutely no discretion for the patients. Very disappointed. Also, I waited an HOUR in the waiting room (be there by 10, surgery at 11) . The waiting room was full, and I did not get CALLED IN until 11 am !! ( surgery time) . I then had to wait almost another HOUR to be wheeled in for surgery. This was awful considering no food since the day before at noon. I overheard nurses congratulating Dr. Hartford on his new grandchild, so i'm assuming that is the reason he was late getting to his surgeries. VERY late. Again, no privacy laying there in a sheet waiting with what seemed like 10 other people all waiting . I heard more than I cared to from the patient laying very close to me (no curtains), and she heard mine as well. … Embarrassing and I will not be back for these reasons alone. Dr. Hartford is a good doctor, however, all the rest was terrible and the follow up was with a nurse who is the one who calls to tell you the outcome of the colonoscopy. I feel like I now know what cattle feels like.

Just what I hope all doctors would offer, professional, courteous and caring staff - following the standards of the doctor (Hartford).
