Dr. Jeffrey J Heckert

He is the best GP I have ever had. Has the ability to tell me what is a problem and and what is not. If a problem he offers advice and will kick it up to a specialist if necessary. You will not be disappointed.

Heckert does not seem to care or know what his job is. He seems to be owned by the pharmaceutical companies and will push whatever medication on you that will line his own pockets. I will not use the title doctor when referring to him because doing so would be a disgrace to those who have earned the title. My records are inaccurate, he and his staff have not listened to my concerns and he is officially fired from practicing medicine on me.

After a year of waiting to become a permanent patient at Mid Atlantic, I am so pleased that my husband and I have Dr. Heckert as our primary physician. Not only is he thorough, patient, & sincerely concerned about any physical issues that may arise, but also, through specific testing, discovered why I was having symptoms of concern that previous doctors failed to figure out. He also has a great sense of humor. We also love his two PA's and nurses. We are so lucky to have found this wonderful, caring medical group. They are just like Family!

Missed my diagnosis on 3 visits. Very frustrating and rude.

Dr. Heckert runs a top notch family practice.

This is an extremely lazy doctor. He does not take a good history and has shown no interest in getting to know me as a patient or understanding my medical conditions. Several times he's said he doesn't know much about my conditions and he's shown no interest in educating himself. His physical was worthless and lasted 15 minutes and involved him checking my lungs and thyroid. Basically because I've had an EKG and am up to date on seeing a dentist, eye doc, gynecologist etc. He said there wasn't much to do during a physical. He has not helped when I have come in with new symptoms. The front desk staff and phone staff are very courteous but the nurse he has working with him is terrible - rude, brusque, not gentle at all, looks like she is angry at the world. I had been told this was the best office for internal medicine in the Lewes area but I am not going back to see this doctor.

Personable no nonsense personality. Listened and made my health a team approach. Adjusted my meds that were given in inappropriate dosages and schedules by other less informed doctors. Referred me to specialists that were able to give a more reliable diagnosis after nearly 11 years of illness. If not for Dr Heckert and his thoroughness I would not be functional
