Dr. Jeffrey Lynn Henderson, MD

H. Lamar Jones, Jr. was born in Marshall, Texas, and grew up in Houston. He graduated in 1968 with a Bachelor of Arts from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. Jones received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 1972. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, and opened his medical practice in Austin, Texas, in 1977.

He is a member of the Texas Medical Association, Texas Surgical Society, the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons and the Travis County Medical Society. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Central Texas Regional Blood Center and served on the Medical Executive Committee for the Heart Hospital of Austin. He was selected as one of Austin's "Best Doctors" by Austin Magazine and as a "Super Doctor" in the Texas Monthly Magazine.

He is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. His practice is …in the specialty of General Surgery, performing most of his surgeries at Seton Medical Center, where he was Chief of Surgery from 1987-1991. His areas of expertise include laparoscopic surgery, endocrine surgery, surgical oncology, breast and colorectal surgery.

He and his wife, Deborah, have three children. He is an enthusiastic fisherman and enjoys all outdoor activities.
