Dr. Jeffrey Scott Henning, DO

Dr, Henning is amazing. I was so sad when the Princeton Dermatology place told me he had left and they would not tell me where he went to!!! Unreal! it shows the kind of business they are running. I found Dr. Henning at his new office and am so happy not to have to change doctors! He truly cares about your health and concerns and explains very well the issues and options.

Dr. Henning is an AMAZING Dermatologist!!!! Not only is he great at what he does but he is such a humble human being! He’s realistic (which is rare) and makes the experience you have with him INCREDIBLE! He treats my father with such great care! I wouldn’t trust anyone else to take care of a family member!!

Felt very rushed with my visit, office worker didn't even entertain issue I wanted to discuss as that was not what I was scheduled for. I would need to schedule another appointment. Not a good practice for a long standing customer who wants to discuss an issue, staff doesn't care and makes decisions for Dr. Henning. Time to find someone who actually cares about providing the best healthcare for their patients.

I felt that I was given a blanket diagnosis for my condition- Dr. Henning did not ask me the back history to make a proper diagnosis of whether my condition was immunological, allergic or contact related. I didnt feel like I was given a proper evaluation by him at all.

Doesn't seem to really care. Writes prescriptions and doesn't tell you what they are for. Doesn't give enough supply with prescription and tells you to call his office if you need more. I have serious doubts about his care for his patients.

Prompt, don't have to wait long. Is very knowledgeable and personable. Always answers all my questions. An expert in psoriasis. Very happy with overall service.

I thought about making a formal complaint about this doctor. He was absolutely horrible and people need to know it. I've seen Dr. Henning three times. My first impression of him was that he was not a very good listener. However, I went to see him a second time about a rash that was spreading rapidly all over my body. He performed a biopsy without explaining the procedure or the site of the biopsy. When I realized what had occurred I expressed my displeasure and told him that he could have done it in a less visible place. (By the way the biopsy left a scar) He was annoyed that I was upset and responded "What do you think a biopsy is?" He wrote me a prescription for a topical solution which proved to be totally ineffective. I told him that the rash was all over my body and that I needed to be treated systemically and that I didn't think a topical cream would work. He told me that he had to wait for the results from the biopsy before he could prescribe a treatment which was 10… days later. In the meantime, the rash and the itching became so unbearable I had to go to the emergency room at St Peter's Hospital. A young female doctor - presumably just out of medical school- evaluated me and told me my symptoms were consistent with an allergic reaction. I was treated intravenously with Benadryl and some other medication. A few hours later the rash was gone. I went to see Dr. Henning as scheduled to get the results from the biopsy and see if he could shed light on my allergic reaction. He barged into the room without knocking and says to me in a rather disparaging manner "You have bedbugs. You are being eaten by bedbugs". You can imagine my shock. After my first two visits, I had some questions and concerns about Dr. Henning. During my third visit it turned out that my concerns were valid. I asked him why were the bedbugs "eating" me only since my husband and my kids were all perfectly fine. My husband and I sleep in the same bed every night and very often one of our kids joins us. None of them had a rash or any skin problems. His response: "They just like you". My next question to Dr. Henning was shouldn't I continue to have bites and a rash then - which I did not. To which he responded: "I am not going to argue with you" I told him I plan to seek a second opinion. He suggested that I continue all future treatment with that doctor. Of course I had no intention of ever stepping into his office again. You need to know that since my visit to the emergency room I have been fine. And no bedbugs have been found in my bed or house. Accurate Diagnosis - ZERO - Way to go Dr. Henning!

I have been searching for a dermatologist to help me with my psoriasis. Dr Henning came highly recommended. He is caring and takes the time to listen to me and my concerns. He is very knowledgeable about my options for treating my psoriasis. I would highly recommend him. bottom line he is an excellent doctor.

I have visited Dr. Hennng for 2 issues 1) my s. dermititis 2) a scar removal. The Princeton dermatology website describes how they take time to deal with patients needs for medical and cosmetic issues, but I have to say I have been very disappointed. Each time I go there I feel I get sub par-care and annoyance. I was given a face wash for my skin condition and the Dr. Henning did not go into detail on how to properly use the wash or ask how I have been doing on the treatment. I am still having issues and he does not seem to care. I have received 2 biopsies on the same area of my arm to remove a scar. the first time I received and infection because of improper technique and instructions and the second time I had received only annoyed reactions to my questions. The first time I received the biopsy and got an infection the nurse literally threw a pack of gauze in my face and told me to fix my arm with that. The second time the scar was supposed to be removed the suture fell out. … I do not recommend Dr. Henning or Princeton Dermatology for treatment.

Dr. Henning was great when I saw him. He is the first doctor I've seen in years who actually took the time to listen and talk with me about my medical condition. He didn't blow me off because of my age and he really made it a point to be sure I understood everything that I was being diagnosed with. He is very kind and caring and I definitely recommend seeing him if you need a good Dermatologist!!
