Dr. Jeffrey A Hertz, MD

Dr. Hertz makes false statements in his consult notes to “doctor” the medical record making it seem like you (the patient) are refusing treatment that you didn't even know about because he refused to tell you about it. He then holds up life-saving surgery based on his falsehoods, not giving the patient prompt medical attention. This is done in complicity with other members of his treatment team, i.e. his nurse, that attests to his falsifications. In conspiracy with another doctor (podiatrist), and nurse (not assigned to my room, but specifically working with Dr. Hertz for this purpose) falsified my medical records, to state: I was refusing the recommended course of treatment; thus, causing an infection to spread, necessitating a more extensive amputation. Needless to say, I never refused any type of treatment, I signed a "consent for treatment" form when I was first admitted to the Emergency Room, as well as a designated surrogate form. To the unsuspecting, unknowledgeable patient, be… wary of Dr. Hertz and his team.

I didn't have a good experience with Dr. Hertz

Josephine, his nurse, was fantastic. She told me everything about my problem. I loved her. The doctor I did not see that long, but he basically was to the point, and I appreciated that. He said If I ever feel the need to see him again to give a call. He shook my hand and that was that. I got a referral from my primary, and I felt Dr. Hertz was a five along with his nurse

Dr. Hertz is absolutely not fit to care for anyone. He doesn't care to listen to your problem, but is quick to tell u what he will not do for u. His attitude is disgusting and his tone is very aggressive. I wouldn't dare let anyone like him treat me in any kind of way. He would rather for my husbands leg to catch gaingreen instead of just go ahead and do surgery to unblock his arteries.

My mother visited Dr. Hertzs' office on a referral from her primary physician this morning, she came back in tears from the treatment she received there. I've never heard my mother speak ill of anyone as she is literally the nicest and most polite human being I have ever met, but she had a lot to say about Dr. Hertz and his nurse. The nurse was rude, aggressive, and argumentative throughout the entire check-in process. She had the nerve to tell my mother, without any consultation or information from the surgeon, that she was "going to lose her leg." You can imagine how traumatic it must be to hear that type of news - especially from a nurse who has no idea how to conduct herself professionally. When the doctor entered her examination room, he and the nurse began gossiping about a fellow office employee before even acknowledging the patient. Apparently, toxicity loves company. Dr. Hertz then informed my mother that they can "install some tubing in your leg, but that probably… won't last long," and "if that doesn't work then we're going to have to take your leg." Absolutely abysmal bedside manner. I'm not the type of individual to leave bad reviews, even when I have an extraordinarily bad experience, but the public needs to know when to avoid people like this doctor and nurse. Especially elders who are psychologically and physically frail and cannot fight back as they should. You two should be ashamed of yourselves.

Dr. Hertz - recommended by my PCP - has performed two surgeries on me: an open AAA and a fem-pop bypass. I have absolute confidence in Dr. Hertz and his office and surgical teams

how did he graduate? Had messsed up my surgery so that another doctor had to fix it.
