Dr. Jeffrey Paul Holden, MD

Dr Jeff Holden was my anesthesiologist for an outpatient surgery at Banner University in Phoenix. I met him the day of the surgery and he administered general anesthesia. He was friendly and attentive when he asked my medical history and about my concerns. As I was being prepped for surgery, I started to de-rail my concerns into worst-case scenarios, and Dr Holden lifted the tension with a small joke. He said that he was the type A personality in the room and this made us all chuckle. After my surgery, my biggest complaint about the procedure was that it was difficult to reach my care team, including my specialist and Dr Holden. I had some asthma and extreme muscle stiffness that was definitely related to the anesthesia, and I do not blame Dr Holden, but did need follow-up after the surgery. Unfortunately, the next day was a Saturday, the specialist office was closed and I had to go to urgent care to ease my mind. I feel the specialist office policies are responsible for my bad… after-care, but I don't have a concierge doctor and my expectations for doctors are generally low, so it's not a huge surprise. I believe Dr Holden made a good effort to follow-up. He sent me text message surveys (which I preferred). The surveys were a week apart and all built upon the last. Dr Holden's questions basically ask how he can provide the best care possible. If I had to go thru it again, I would trust Dr Holden with my life. He is kind, thorough and a genuine person with a good bedside manner and a good heart. I feel lucky to have had him for an anesthesiologist considering I am someone who has bad luck, and bad experiences, with most doctors.

Dr. Jeffrey Holden (Valley Anesthesia) took AMAZING care of my sister. Treated us like family and took the time to answer all of our questions (even the silly ones) with patience, respect and the understanding that we are NOT doctors; just caring family members.. Dr. Holden even took the time to follow up with us after my little sisters surgery just to check in and make sure we were all less anxious. He's amazing! Not even her own surgeon made that gesture.. He is kind, patient, compassionate, and understands that surgery is very scary. He really does go the extra mile to make sure his patients (and their families) are comfortable and at ease.. I've never met another doctor that cares as much as him. I can't recommend Dr. Holden enough!!! He is the absolute best!! Thank you Dr. Holden!!
