Dr. Jeffrey Randall Holt, MD

Dr. Holt is more of a nice guy than a competent physician. I have in fact little faith in his diagnostic skills. He did step up and act appropriately during a crisis, but he's weak in terms of preventative medicine. He has routinely ignored symptoms/red flags, something that once (at least) was a factor that contributed to significant injury. His real weakness, however, is the sort of firewall of incompetence that he places between himself and patients. His nurses/assistants have created more tense, difficult moments than anything else, making medical mistakes and failing to properly convey messages to the doctor -- in fact speaking FOR the doctor at times when that was clearly (& wildly) inappropriate. One of them became quite nasty when I went over her head with a problem. Vacuity and callousness is all they seem to offer, so I'm not sure how they can keep their jobs. So again, Dr. Holt, as hinted above, has bedside manner (if that's what matters to you...), but as a young… physician, clearly needs much, much more experience. I'm always left with the feeling, after an appointment, that I've just seen a med student at a teaching hospital.
